A bold, bright perennial, Firecracker Penstemon is a drought tolerant and heat tolerant plant of the Plantaginaceae family and ideal food source for hummingbirds and is a host for caterpillars of the beautiful Anicia Checkerspot.

Water: every few days when first planted, then only once or twice a month after established
Blooms: May to July
